Am always discovering new things about India from your podcasts. I wasn't aware of the Sikh efforts to defeat the East India Company and grab back India from them for India. Often times in history or to the degree that history is even read, many readers are unaware of certain people who have historical fought for the common good and don't ever seem to receive much appreciation. History is regarded as something to be easily forgotten like the last great film one saw on Netflix, Amazon or Zee5. Out of sight and into forgetfulness or old school oblivion. As by learning from the experience of earlier forebears' is absolutely the total wrong way to go. Much better some think that one learns from being severely punished by their own experience for what they either didn't know, weren't aware of or decided to ignore because it just wasn't how they felt that particular day or in that particular moment. Feelings are okay as long as they don't blindside one's fundamental awareness or seem to support a total lack of critical or any awareness. At least everyone still seems to have their options or at least some of them.
