This last post is going to be short. When we were driving back from Kurukshetra, we noticed a few short towers, or minars, on the side of the highway.
Sher Shah Suri, the founder of the Sur Dynasty, built them as markers on the highway. He used them to help guide travellers in terms of direction and distance.
