This is a great observation in and of itself. I don't think it is alarming per se because after something occurs that is real, you can't be alarmed. You have to adapt, be wary and continue on. There is what you see and what you don't see. I was watching the Hindi horror comedy film Bhooth Bangla about evil-minded villains menacing ordinary people. Today the evil minded villains might be government who wants to regulate ordinary human behavior and make trouble for those who don't agree with them. I think films are a valid form of observation. If one sees governments as in plain sight collections of evil spirits in the old school sense, this helps to understand how if the old changes, new occurrences cannot old realities that reappear in new ways. The crimes of old never fully disappear despite the world becoming more progressive. The modern progress is in old brutality is able to reoccur on a slightly smaller scale in new ways. Comedy, creativity or differentness or the imagination is not a valid way to deal with all the negativity but at the very least it's existence points to what the villains or bad guys or bad spirits are always trying to destroy. Your post points out how old realities change, but old school evil persists and is foisted upon us in new ways so we must be wary. And reality even if fiction is often recognized by good office which means that old school is never entirely erased out of the picture. Thanks for this excellent post!
Thanks a lot. Surveillance, especially when you live in a panopticon, will affect you slowly. I don't think most of us are consciously aware of cameras but, in time, who knows?
