The Taj Mahal is a magnificent structure that is much bigger than people realize. I remember standing in my hotel room, looking across the haze at the Taj as it loomed high, striving to rise above the hazy atmosphere. I envisioned the thin strip of the Yamuna River, snaking its way to Allahabad, behind the Taj Mahal.
