Rajiv,

This is one of your best posts and as far as I am concerned, it should've be your last about Allahabad or the Sangam. It's your call but it would be awesome if wrote about how either Allahabad and the Sangam arrived at their current states of existence although you do go a little in to that in this. And I hadn't listened to "Morning has broken" in a long time. You may not be religious but you seem to really appreciate the somewhat religious nature of Nature. Which includes land based nature and nature of the oceans and vast unseen Nature beneath all the oceans' waters. It would be cool if you could attach links to this post on X, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn if you aren't already doing so. Put in a shorter intro to your post on X and Instagram who only allow shorter word counts and a longer word count intro on Threads and LinkedIn. And you copy the full URL for the link and past it in at the end of the intros. You get more views that way.

Hi Larry, thanks much! Okay, let me respond, like a good ol' ex-corporate person! Yes, I will dive deeper into Allahabad and Sangam but I need to do some more patient research, which I will.

I do post links on X and IG and LinkedIn but I have not used these mediums properly enough. That will change in 2026 and I will rebrand 'Tramping in India' slightly to 'Tramping the Dusty Roads,' or something. Maybe, I will share old memories of international travel, and the very few future plans I have.

Plus, I will write more on the 'philosophy of photography' on Substack and on photography in an educational sense on LinkedIn. I may decide to try and monetize the photography writing but not the podcast

And, i will do more 'Substack Live,' conversations and 'Live from the Field.'

We shall see how it goes!

And, I will remove all climate change stuff from Substack, except where it pertains to travel, and focus on climate change on Medium.

That all sounds great. Regarding rebranding Tramping in India as Tramping the Dusty Roads or Tramping the Off Roads. Awesome marketing move. When people have trouble connecting with India (don't let them know it's India until well along in the story). Some will say it is unpatriotic but anything that bypasses people's fixed hung up ideas is worth it. There is a successful marketer guy who advises "Be Different." And on monetizing your photography advice is good because people don't highly value enough anything they don't pay. Another stupid fixed idea. Don't value friends and you won't. Don't value or pay for excellent photography advice and you won't get any. On using X Instagram Threads and LinkedIn shorter stuff is good. Also YouTube shorts can get higher view counts especially with photography. So all good. A great picture will always achieve high circulation or visibility if placed properly. All good!

Best regards,

Larry
